Optical Microscope ZEISS Axio Imager Z1

The ZEISS Axio Imager Z1 is an upright microscope for advanced materials research. It can be used for pre-characterization of substrates, materials and devices for SEM analysis and for characterization of materials with respect to their crystallinity and microstructure. With this microscope the transillumination technique can be applied using either bright field or polarized light. Furthermore, dark field epi-illumination in different polarization modes and fluorescence using epifluorescence with LED illumination is possible. The available excitation wavelengths are 385 nm, 475 nm, 555 nm, 590 nm, and 630 nm. The LED illumination system also includes a filter mount to allow individual adjustment of the colour temperature to meet specific requirements. The microscope is equipped with a motorized stage and an integrated software enabling the generation of large mosaics. Additionally, multi-channel experiments can be performed.
