Core Facilities
The IMSEAM is hosting three core facilities open to all members of Heidelberg University and to some extend to external users.
The heart of the IMSEAM core facility is a cleanroom offering several different methods for preparing samples in the micro and nanometer range as well as characterization methods. Further more the IMSEAM is hosting the FI EMS funded Biomechanis facility offering different characterization methods for Soft(Bio-) materials ranging from rheometer to a nanoidenter including also devices for preparation. Also the Health&Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim funded Microfluidics facility can be found in the IMSEAM, which allows for preparing, using and analyzing microfluidic devices.
