Cells, Organoids and Biophysics

Cells & organoids

We are pursuing a number of research projects that involve biological cells and organoids. The following is a list with some current research questions and projects which we are working on. We also collaborate with a number of groups at the Heidelberg research campus as well as the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research:

  • Methods to transfect cells with nanocarriers.
  • Assembly of cells into user-defined organoids using physical fields.
  • Stimulating cells with ultrasound.
  • Penetration of tissue and cell assemblies with nanopropellers.
  • Sonogenetics.
  • Microtools to map cancer cells.
  • Novel methods to grow tissues.
  • Bioprinting of dense cellular structures.
